Twin brother of Thorne Saltbeard, son of Hawthorn Saltbeard and Firethorn Saltbeard. Together with his brother Thorne he was raised by his father Firethorn in their home village Porcupine. After it was raided and burnt down by the Black Scourge at the age of 31, Thorne joined the Order of the Temrag Sea for 35 years.
